Life is not all happiness

Life is not all happiness.

Nor can we expect it to be!

So many people are disappointed that their life is not wall-to-wall happiness and joy.

But NOBODY’S life is like that!

We’re all human. And we all share similar human conditions and situations.

I do. You do. We all do!

😥 Yes, there will be illness.

😥 Yes, there will be death.

😥 Yes, there will be heartbreak.

😥 Yes, there will be dramas and catastrophes.

And yes, Millicent in Accounts may not be speaking to you and you don’t know why.

But at the same time,

😀 There is birth!

😀 There is love!

😀 There is comfort!

😀 There is fulfilment and satisfaction!

And if you operate from this level of consciousness, you don’t really mind about Millicent, rather you would like to help her see the world in a better light.

It’s the same for everybody

And that includes millionaires, billionaires, film stars, captains of industry, kings and queens, everyone. All those people you think have it all - they too have heartbreak, illness, death, dramas, and people throwing wobblies. Some of these events are very public, and yet we still envy them and think they have more than they should.

The difference is in the way they see it. The way they react to these events.

“Ah, that’s my quotient of unhappiness for the day - now I’m going to enjoy the rest of my life.”

We all experience the same disappointments and regrets.

It’s a question of knowing that your life is always going to be a mixture of the good and the not-so-good - or the downright bad. It’s always going to be like this, so plan to accept the bad with stoicism and relish and nurture the good, looking for how you can increase it.

And don’t be disappointed that you are a human, with a human brain, living a human life.

We’re all in this together!

What do you plan to do to change your view of your life from suffering to joy?

What simple step could you take to enjoy more balance in your ideas?
