Decision time!

So last week I was talking about the deflation you can feel when you have this fantastic, brilliant, world-changing, idea … and you don’t know how to even start.

Check out the important first and second steps from last week, and jump into your third step here!

3 Make the decision!

Once you have this clear in your head you can start making your first steps - but, just as I wouldn’t want to attempt to traverse a bog without a local scout to guide me, you don’t want to jump in all on your ownsome with no-one to show you the way.

Why would you do that?

Just because you’re starting your own business doesn’t mean you have to cut off all avenues of help. In fact, being able to ASK for help is a sign of humility. Refusing to ask for help is arrogance! (And I’m sure you’re not arrogant …)

“I needed someone who understands the dog business - I WISH I’d met you before!” said a student who had tried a general business coach before finding the Brilliant Family Dog Trainer Business Program - a program designed specifically for dog trainers!

Whatever your business is, there are a lot of similar business steps you need to assimilate and understand:

  • Marketing

  • Tech

  • Systems

  • Documentation

  • Tax

All of that is the same for any enterprise, and it’s important you get started on it sooner rather than later!

Why wait till you’re ready to open your business to learn how to do it? And make all those mistakes then?

Why wait till everything’s in a mess and you’re bogged down in paperwork and trying to make creaking systems work?

Doesn’t it make better sense to have that all squirrelled away and learnt, so you don’t need to waste a moment?

You may be dying to leave your day job and throw everything into your new passion. Don’t you owe it to yourself to give yourself the best possible chance, so you hit the ground running and can tell your boss “Sorry, but I can’t afford to work for you any more!”?

So what is the first step you’re going to take now? You could always start here.
