Change takes time
We’re always in such a hurry!
Busy busy busy - rushing from here to there, Racing from pillar to post.
Sometimes you meet yourself coming back!
And we expect everything to happen immediately.
Recently I was talking to you about thinking things into existence. And that’s true - nothing happens unless we think it first!
So that WAITING for something to happen Is a fruitless exercise. NOTHING is going to happen!
Once we can wrap our heads round that, Life becomes so much easier!
Less fighting!
Less conflict!
Less frustration!
Less disappointment!
But now, having got that you have to think your idea into existence - and doing that! - the next step is
WHERE IS IT??
Why am I still waiting?
This is what I want, in detail, WHERE IS IT?
So how do we deal with this let-down? Let’s look at something:
Suppose you wanted to lose weight?
You wouldn’t eat a salad on Tuesday, do three push-ups on Wednesday and expect to lose 50 lbs by Friday.
Course you wouldn’t - you’re not daft!
So if you plan to change your thoughts, you can’t recite one affirmation and assume the deed is done. Just like changing your health habits, changing your thinking habits takes time.
And repetition.
And repetition.
And repetition …
If you’ve been eating and exercising the same for years, things are not going to change overnight.
So if you’ve been thinking and holding the same opinions for years … it’s the same thing.
THIS WILL TAKE SOME WORK!
To effect the change you want, make a plan, start small, and repeat, repeat, repeat.
Work daily on your mind, the same as you work daily on your body.
