“My partner doesn’t support my ideas”

I hear frequently that people have a desire to make changes in their life, but … BUT BUT BUT - there follow lots of buts.

And the first of these buts - or the last, if they’re reluctant to admit it - is that their partner doesn’t support their idea.

This is a very sad state of affairs. To live with someone who doesn’t put your happiness high on their agenda.

Often this comes straight from fear.

😱 They think you’ll change.

😱 They worry about money if you start something less predictable.

😱 They are worried that they’ll become less important to you.

😱 They’re afraid their comfy existence will be disrupted!

😱 They are simply afraid of an uncertain future.

So this is something you really need to address together.

❤️ Find out what their hopes and dreams are.

❤️ Share your own hopes and dreams!

❤️ Remember we’ve only got one life and we all need to make the best of it.

Will you be truly happy if you shelve your ideas and wishes, or could it lead to you feeling bitter in the long run?

And will your partner really feel good about this?

Don’t let this fear stand in your way!

Are you enjoying being in Creativity Central? There are a number of Live Trainings there that may help you to resolve this. You could start with this one!
